Why aren't people treating the environment with respect?

Where I live no one respects the environment it makes me cry, I wish we could raise environmental awareness of pollution; it makes me cry to see the pollution of where I live. God created the world so why are there polluters why can't people reduce pollution. I am sorry if I sound stupid. But I wish people cared about the environment more; I see animals dying innocent animals like sheep dying it makes me sad, I see pollutants in the error. This all makes me cry; I hate it.
